Special event for one of our own.

Lone Star Lyric, Houston’s premiere boutique lyric theater and cabaret company, is proud to present Kay Boyte-Moore in a special one-night-only private event. Please join us for a banquet of musical treats from jazz to country and of course, her first love, opera.

After graduating from Houston Christian University, Kay landed a starring role in LSL’s 2023 sold-out summer opera festival, Cantata Café as the Mother in RED CARNATIONS and thrilled audiences with her velvety soprano and charming comedic timing.  She spent the next six months as an intern with Lone Star Lyric soaking up the tricks of the trade then launched the Odeum Theatre Company of Houston and headlining at Maggiano’s and Pearl & Vine singing Jazz, R&B, Country, and Pop standards. Still eager to continue her studies, Kay headed north and spent her first year of grad school in Chicago’s DuPaul University and starred in Nico Muhly’s DARK SISTERS in Jarvis Opera Hall.  While in the windy city, Kay was invited to go abroad – to Italy for further studies at the Conservatorio di Perugia di Musica.

Proceeds for this event will help Kay with a few more coins in her pocket and bid her “buona fortuna con il tuo lavoro!” See her live before she heads abroad!

Open bar, so please tip the singer!
