Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival will hold mainstage auditions for its 2009 season early next year in Houston, Texas. Auditions are by appointment only.
We're interested in...
Houston area professional-level singers and, as needed, classically trained pianists and other instrumentalists with theater experience. Performing artists from outside the Houston area are welcome to audition, but should be aware that Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival cannot provide housing or transportation.

Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival will begin accepting audition requests for the 2009 season in late December or early January. Please check this page for updates at that time.
Rehearsals & performances...
A Sneak Preview fund-raising concert of selections from the current season's Festival is held in April or May with one dress rehearsal. All participating artists are asked to donate their talent for this concert.
During the latter part of June, two productions are presented in a festival format over one or two weekends. Music rehearsals are scheduled on an as-needed basis. An intensive staging rehearsal period of approximately 10 days is followed by two or more performances of each production.
All participating artists are paid a season stipend.
